Gosatomnadzor takes part in the IAEA technical meeting on topical issues in the development of nuclear power infrastructure
From 12 to 15 March 2024, a technical meeting on topical issues in the development of nuclear power infrastructure is held at the IAEA headquarters (Vienna, Austria).
During the panel session, Mr. Maxim Mazurenko, Head of the Division of Organization and Implementation of Control and Supervision Activities at Atomic Energy Facilities of Gosatomnadzor, presented the Belarusian experience in regulating the construction and commissioning of the first NPP in a newcomer country.
In general, in the course of the meeting, participants considered a wide range of issues related to the establishment and improvement of national infrastructure supporting nuclear power programs, as well as practical challenges that countries face, regardless of whether they are considering constructing their first nuclear power plant or are on the path to expanding the use of nuclear power.
The obtained information will be used for further safety infrastructure enhancement in the Republic of Belarus.
