Gosatomnadzor issued a permit for the use of atomic energy to the Belarusian NPP
On April 4, 2024, Gosatomnadzor issued a permit for the right to carry out activities in the field of atomic energy use to Mr. Sergei Bobovich, General Director of the Belarusian NPP.
While issuing the permit, Ms. Olga Lugovskaya, Head of the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, emphasized the special requirements to Mr. Sergei Bobovich. First and foremost, it refers to the General Director's role as an emergency manager in conducting drills in accordance with the internal emergency plan.
In addition, the issued permit obliges to ensure the Belarusian NPP development as an operating organization aimed at increasing the sustainability of the NPP safe operation.
