Gosatomnadzor took part in the XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO-2024

At the International Forum ATOMEXPO-2024 held in Sochi, the Gosatomnadzor delegation headed by Ms. Olga Lugovskaya, Head of the Department, participated in a wide range of events and conducted a number of meetings and negotiations to consider the issues of cooperation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.

Issues of cooperation with partners from the Russian side in the framework of conducting scheduled preventive maintenance at the Belarusian NPP and applying up-to-date approaches were discussed at the venues of the Forum.

Ms. Olga Lugovskaya took part in a panel discussion on nuclear infrastructure, speaking about the importance of establishing a regulatory framework being one of the key elements of nuclear infrastructure development.

The topic of radioactive waste reprocessing and disposal was touched upon at a separate section of the Forum.

Head of the Belarusian regulatory body held a meeting with her Russian colleague – Mr. Alexander Trembitsky, Head of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostechnadzor), at which the parties addressed the issues of interdepartmental cooperation and plans for 2024-2025.

Also in the course of meetings with Russian colleagues, the sides announced their plans to establish a joint scientific and technical board in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.
