Technical support organizations of the regulatory authorities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety of Belarus and Ukraine concluded a cooperation agreement

On December 3, 2018, in Minsk, in the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, an Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the State Scientific Technical Institution "Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety" of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the State Enterprise “Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety "of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The agreement provides for cooperation in the following areas:

thermohydraulic safety analysis;
deterministic safety analysis;
probability risk assessment;
operating experience of nuclear facilities;
neutronic calculations;
reliability of monitoring and diagnostic systems;
strength and reliability of nuclear facilities;
radiation safety and protection;
handling nuclear materials and radioactive waste;
safety of information and control systems of nuclear power plants.

The signing of the Agreement between technical support organizations establishes a framework for cooperation in the provision of scientific and technical support for regulatory decisions in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.
