The charity event “Christmas Tree - Our Children” takes place on New Year's Eve

By the initiative of Gosatomnadzor, the charity event “Christmas Tree - Our Children” is being organized in 2024 for children of primary school age residing in the areas most affected by the Chernobyl NPP accident.

On December 21-27, festive events under the campaign are held in more than 20 locations of Gomel and Mogilev regions for 2622 primary school students.

Willingness to make a bright and unforgettable holiday for children brought together the efforts of Gosatomnadzor employees, the Main Department of Education of the Gomel Region Executive Committee, Gomel Region Department of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, district departments for emergency situations, institutions and educational departments in the regions.

On December 24, Mr. Sergei Blaskin, Chief State Inspector of the Division for Supervision of Radiation Safety of Ionizing Radiation Sources in the Regions and Minsk, joined the festive events at the State Educational Institution “Vetki Gymnasium”. Apart from traditional sweet gifts wrapped in a lovely package, children were presented with a festive booklet filled with exciting and valuable information, as well as some good tips on safety and healthy lifestyle.

The charity event resulted in positive emotions for children and its organizers, who gifted kids a piece of their heart.
