Working meeting with representatives of Belhydromet was held at Gosatomnadzor

On February 29, 2024, Gosatomnadzor arranged a working meeting with the representatives of the State Institution “Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring” headed by the head of institution Mr. Vladimir Babko.

Participants of the meeting discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation within the framework of the draft Programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia being developed by Gosatomnadzor.

Future directions in the field of implementation of projects for improvement of radioactive contamination control and radiation monitoring systems were among the discussed topics.

Sides expressed interest in signing an Agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety between Gosatomnadzor and Belhydromet.

For reference: State institution “Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring” is listed among 18 organizations of scientific and technical support of regulatory activities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety, approved by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 09.10.2023 № 668 “On Implementation of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 10 October 2022 № 208-З/Z “On Safety Regulation in Atomic Energy Use”.
