Gosatomnadzor discussed bilateral cooperation with Rostechnadzor

On November 19, Gosatomnadzor held a bilateral meeting with a delegation of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision headed by the Head Mr. Alexander Trembitsky, the Deputy Head – Mr. Alexei Ferapontov and the Head of the Section of Cooperation in the Field of Supervision and Control over Technological Safety of the Division of International Cooperation and Protocol of Rostechnadzor Mr. Dmitry Chachelov.

Both sides discussed the issues of cooperation between the regulatory bodies of these two countries and the implementation of the Agreement between the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and Rostechnadzor on Cooperation in the Field of Regulation of Nuclear and Radiation Safety in the Use of Atomic Energy for Peaceful Purposes.

On the first day the guests got acquainted with the State Scientific Institution «The Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research – Sosny» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The program of the visit also includes meetings with the authorities of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and a number of visits to the Belarusian potentially hazardous facilities.

Visit will last until November 21.
