The working meeting of the regulatory authorities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety of Belarus and Russia was held on the site of 61st IAEA General Conference

During the ongoing 61^st IAEA General Conference a working meeting of the representatives of Belarusian and Russian regulatory authorities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety was held on September 20, 2017.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of practical implementation of bilateral cooperation, including assistance to Gosatomnadzor by Rostechnadzor on the following issues:

supervision at the stages of preparation for commissioning and operation of the Belarusian NPP;

carrying out safety expertise in the framework of licensing the operation of Unit 1 of the Belarusian NPP;

preparation for the command post exercises conduction in the Republic of Belarus on October 18-19, 2017 to develop cooperation between bodies and units for responding to radiation accidents and developing an emergency preparedness and response system in general and on other issues.
